Lucknow: Fake fertilizer has been seized in Shahjahanpur, UP. On the informant's Tahrir, the agriculture department along with the police team caught a pickup vehicle from which a large quantity of fake fertilizer was recovered. The police have also detained two criminals involved in this illegal business of fake fertilizer, who are being questioned.

Two members of Pankaj Verma and Aayush Goyal have been detained by the joint team of police and agriculture department on the informant's Tahrir in Thana Kalan area. Preparations were being made to consume large quantities of fake manure from the pickup-cart. Police seized 103 bags of IFFCO DAP, 261 bags of gypsum, granulated calcium sulfate 36 bags, potash IPL and large quantities of fake fertilizer from the pickup vehicle.

On giving information about the case, DM Indra Vikram Singh said that a campaign has been launched by the administration against the manufacturers and sellers of fake manure. The fraud was happening to farmers. Farmers were being cheated by selling fake fertilizer at cheap prices. In this case, the police and agriculture department team has achieved great success by taking action.
