Recently, the case of crime is reported from Kalyanpur area of Kanpur in Uttar Pradesh where a married woman committed suicide  due to dowry. In this case, the police said that Pooja (30), a resident of Chhibramau, was married to Ravi, a resident of Delhi, five years ago.

Mother of the dying woman has alleged that, "In-laws used to harass her daughter for demanding dowry. Ravi used to fight with his daughter the day after marriage. Ravi had left his daughter almost a year ago, whose daughter started renting a room here about six months ago and used to do a private job in Naveen Market.

He further said that, "The daughter told him that she had gone to meet the children two days ago but the in-laws did not allow them to meet the children." Frustrated with this, he hanged himself and gave up his life. "The police say that," The victim's family is alleging dowry. On the basis of their tahrir, the police will take action by registering a case. ”This case cannot be called the first such case because many such cases have been reported so far which have been shocking.
