Lucknow: The state government has decided to provide nutrition to women workers working in MGNREGA and other projects. These women working at the Anganwadi will get all the possible help at the workplace. The Child Development Services and Nutrition Department has prepared a proposal to launch 'Anganwadi Mobile Van Service'.
A large number of migrant workers have returned to the state during the lockdown. There is also a large number of women labourers. The women labours started working in nearby areas. Many of these women suffer from malnutrition. Most of the pregnant women are also doing labour. At such a stage, these workers are not getting the benefit of the child development department's strategies and the service of Anganwadi centres.
As a result, the government has decided to provide arrangements at the workplace. The focus will be on 8 aspirational cities of the state in particular. The proposal was approved by the State Level Sectioning Committee, the 5th State Convergence Committee, the Executive Committee of the Nutrition Campaign and the State Nutrition Mission, headed by the Chief Secretary. As per the proposal, all mobile vans will be equipped with mobile phones to be contacted by women workers as per requirement. At the same time, women workers will get a lot of relief from this assistance.
