Rampur: The SP leader and MP from Rampur Lok Sabha seat, Azam Khan and his family are not taking the name of difficulties in the matter of taking possession of farmers' land in the name of Jauhar University in Rampur. On Monday, the police sent a notice to Azam Khan's wife MP Tanzin Fatima and his two sons Abdullah Azam Khan and Adeeb Azam Khan on the basis of the cases registered.
Police has posted 3 notices at Azam Khan's residence. According to this, the three have been summoned by the police for questioning in the land scam case. Police has given the three days' deferment for this. Two of the three notices have been issued under section 160 of the IPC, while one notice has been issued under section 91. The police will interrogate the three in the case of land grab of farmers at Johar University.
University records have also been sought from Azam Khan's wife. Let me tell you that Azam Khan's wife is a Rajya Sabha MP. SP National President Akhilesh Yadav was scheduled to reach Rampur with party workers today. However, due to not getting permission from the administration, he has postponed his tour for two and 13 September to 14 September. Akhilesh Yadav was going to support Azam Khan here.
