Lucknow: The crackdown on illegal earnings of mafia and Bahubalis continues even during the assembly elections in Uttar Pradesh. Action is also on to demolish the illegal constructions of Bahubali Mukhtar Ansari and his family members as well as confiscation of illegal properties. In Ghazipur, the hotel land of the wife of gang leader Mukhtar Ansari was seized with heavy force along with SDM Sadar and CO Sadar on Wednesday.
The action was taken to seize the land belonging to the rear portion of the Ghazal Hotel of Mukhtar Ansari's wife Afshan Ansari at Mahuabagh in Sadar Kotwali. Under Section 14(1) of the Gangster Act, the land (plot) at Mahuabagh of Afshan Ansari, wife of Mukhtar Ansari, leader of the IS 191 gang, was seized.
Sadar CO Ojaswi Chawla informed that district magistrate MP Singh informed that the area of this land is 381 square meters. Its market price is about 2 crore 15 lakh rupees. A large number of men and women policemen including Sadar Tahsildar and Kotwal Vimlesh Maurya were present during the meeting.
