Meerut: Unidentified attackers shot the tehsil officer in front of the Sadar Tehsil gate.
According to a police spokesperson, “Dindayal 59 years old, a kanoongo with the Tehsil office here and resident of Musri village, was shot dead when he was leaving for home in the evening”.
"The attackers were waiting outside the victim's office. He died on the spot after being shot in the chest," the spokesperson added. A case has been filed at the Daheli Gate Police Station. No arrests have been made yet.
