UPSC Civil Services can bring good news for failed students, luck may change

The final result of the Civil Services Examination 2018 was declared by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) on April 5, 2019 this year. Candidates who reached the interview stage in this examination were not selected, but in the coming days, there is a good news for those who failed. UPSC has released the marks of the candidates of Civil Services Examination 2018 who had given the interview and unfortunately their final selection could not be made. UPSC has released the marks of these candidates on www.upsc.gov.in. UPSC has released the marks of the candidates who gave the interview and who opted to make their details public in the application form. UPSC continues the marks of 939 such candidates (total marks out of 2025).

It is worth noting that the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) had decided to share the marks of candidates appearing for competitive exams online. This was part of the government's proposal to promote recruitment to the private sector. The UPSC said that making the marks public would help other employers identify good, employable candidates. The UPSC had said that the commission has decided to share information such as the educational qualification and marks obtained in the candidates who participated in the final stage of the examination but their final selection was not made.

Marks and other details of unsuccessful candidates appearing in UPSC Civil Services Exam 2018 have been released as per the order of the Government of India. UPSC has stated in its notice that as per the order of Department of Personal and Training, Government of India, marks of selected candidates for interview have been issued. This will help all other companies and employers to create a database of qualified candidates. Under this disclosure scheme, other companies will be able to get qualified candidates with the help of this database. Employers will check the marks and details of the candidates from this database and offer them jobs.
