One of the most loved movies of this year Kantara breaks all the records at Box office. The small-budget movie became a pan-India film because of its story. The film was dubbed and released in Telugu, Hindi, and Tamil released. After the success of first part the actor-filmmaker Rishab Shetty confirmed  Kantara 2. It will be released in 2024. The director of the film finally shed some light on the highly-anticipated Kantara 2.

Fans are very excited for its part 2 and there are various reports spread all over about Part 2. Recently a report claimed that Urvashi Rautela is all set to feature in Kantara 2. The reports started spreading all over after Urvashi Rutela posted a picture with Rishabh Shetty with a cryptic caption, "Kantara 2 loading" and users started speculating Urvashi had been signed for Rishab Shetty's highly-anticipated prequel.
Now source close to the production house that made Kantara has revealed, "All the rumours around Urvashi Rautela's casting in Kantara 2 are totally baseless and untrue. Recently, Urvashi just happened to be on the same premises as Rishab Shetty, where she requested to meet the Kantara fame star and he politely obliged. She posted the picture clicked with him with a cryptic caption, giving rise to these completely false rumours."

Rishabh recently confirmed Kantara’s prequel said, “What you have seen is actually Part 2, Part 1 will come next year. The idea came to my mind while I was shooting for Kantara. It is because the history of Kantara has more depth to it. Currently, we are in the middle of digging into more details. As the research is still underway, it would be very early to reveal details about the film.”

Speaking about Kantara, which translates to the mystical forest, tells the story of a local demigod (Bhoota) who trades forest land to the tribe’s people with a king in 1870 in exchange for happiness. Many years later, when the king’s son grows greedy and wants the land back, he dies due to the wrath of Bhoota. Set in the fictional village of Dakshina Kannada, Kantara follows a Kambala champion, played by Rishab, who comes to loggerheads with an upright Forest Range officer, Murali (Kishore).
