US corona deaths exceed World War II military toll: tracker

Washington: Corona is wreaking havoc in all around the world. The US is worst hit nation by corona. According to a tracker maintained by Johns Hopkins University,  Corona death toll on Wednesday surpassed the total American military death toll from World War II.

As of Wednesday evening, the tracker showed that 405,400 people have died from the disease caused by the new covid-19 in the United States. The total number of combat and non-combat deaths in World War II was 405,399, according to the Department of Veterans Affairs.

The total number of global coronavirus cases has topped 96.8 million, while the deaths have surged to more than 2.07 million, according to the Johns Hopkins University.
