Novak Djokovic, the world number one player, has been given the top seed in the men's singles of the US Open Tennis Tournament starting on August 31, while Carolina Pliskova has been given top priority in the women's category. According to the draw released on Thursday, Djokovic of Serbia will face Damir Dzumhur in the first round, while Czech Republic's Pliskova will face Anhelina Kalinina.

David Goffin is also in the half for Djokovic, who will face Ryle Opelkia in the first round. Fifth seed Alexander Zverev will face 2017 US Open runner-up Kevin Anderson. Fourth seed Stephanos Sitsipas will have to win the first round against Spain's Ramos Vinolas. The same third seeded Danil Medvedev will play 2019 semifinalist and sixth seed Mateo Beretini, while second seed Dominic Thiem will play against Japan's Yoshihito Nishioka in the first round.

Also in the women's draw is Pliskova's quarter-finalist Petra Martich and 2016 US Open winner Angelique Kerber. Fourth seed Naomi Osaka will face Misaki Doi of Japan. Young player Coco Gou will face Anastasija Sevastova in the first round. The same American famous third seed available Serena Williams, Madison Keys (seventh seed) Amanda Anisimova and Sloan Stephens are in the same quarter. All these will be fought during the game.
