As part of its plan to surround China, the US has made a strategy to sell seven major instrument systems to Taiwan, including cruise missiles and drones. Sources said, as a plan to reduce the dispute with Beijing, it was decided to stop this sale in the past years. But in 2020 the Trump Administration is more aggressive with China and this deal could further exacerbate the current dispute between Beijing and Washington.

Also, sources said, Lockheed Martin, Boeing and General Atomics companies will sell these weapon systems. US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo has shared information about the deal with President Donald Trump. Congress can be informed on this matter within a week. However, the Ministry of External Affairs declined to comment on it. Taiwan can receive drones equipped with advanced missiles, which are specially designed for sea attack.

Taiwan has also demanded Lockheed Martin's High Mobility Artillery Rocket System from the US, which can also be offered by truck. Taiwan may additionally receive anti-tank missiles. On Wednesday, South Korea claimed that North Korea could execute its first underwater ballistic missile experiment within a year. For this use, North Korea is repairing the Sinpo shipyard, which was recently damaged by the typhoon. The same can be many changes now.
