Uttar Pradesh: BJP MLA Kishan Lal Rajput beat up police constable, case registered

Pilibhit: A case has been registered against Kishan Lal Rajput, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MLA from Barkheda assembly constituency for allegedly beating a police constable with shoes. Many of his supporters were also present with the MLA, of which 15 have been identified, while more than 35 have not been identified. It is alleged that MLA Kishan Lal had also rescued his gold chain and wallet from the constable after beating him in the police post.

According to the report, Constable Mohit Gurjar had a dispute over a refund of a bike that he had bought for Rs 50,000, but the seller Rahul allegedly did not have valid registration papers, and as such, he was selling the bike in the name of Gurjar. Failed to move to Gurjar has said that on September 12, when he asked for his money back, Rahul allegedly called him to Pilibhit Mandi Samiti's I Gate, where MLA's nephew Rishabh and Rahul along with some others were also present.

The constable continued that, "When I got there, they abused me and beat me up. They opened fire on me, in which I narrowly escaped. They snatched my gold chain and wallet and hit me badly." Police is currently investigating the matter.
