Lucknow: A case of a youth attacking a girl with a knife has come to light in Uttar Pradesh's Jhansi. The girl, who was studying in Class 12, was attacked with a knife near Mission Compound under the Sipri Bazar police station area on Monday evening. The accused stabbed her several times in the face, due to which she was seriously injured. She has been admitted to Jhansi Medical College for treatment.

Both the girl and the accused boy are from different communities. Because of this, the police are taking great precautions. At the moment, the accused has not been arrested. Police say that there used to be a phone conversation between the two, but we do not know why the accused boy tried to take the girl's life. The girl's mother has said that for 2 years, a young man named Danish Khan, has been harassing the girl, constantly blackmailing her. She had also complained about it at Danish's house, after which Danish admitted his mistake. Meanwhile, on Monday, Danish saw the girl alone on the road and then attacked her with a knife. The police are investigating the case from every angle.
