Lucknow: The beheaded body of a girl has been found in Uttar Pradesh's Meerut. The accused had left the woman's body at an intersection in Lisadi Gate. The girl, aged between 25 and 26, is said to be wearing black pants and a blue splash top. The police have started efforts to identify the deceased by taking possession of the body. The body was recovered on Friday (August 12, 2022).
In the viral video of the incident, the body is seen wrapped in a sheet, along with the hands and feet of the deceased folded. Policemen are seen standing around. According to Meerut police, the body has been sent for post-mortem after conducting a panchnama and further action is being taken. According to media reports, the girl's body was found near Gali number 28 in Lakhipura in the Lisadi Gate area around 4 am when some people went out on a morning walk. The girl's body was tied in a bundle of sheets. This bundle was kept near the cemetery boundary. Seeing blood oozing out of the bundle, people informed the police. At the same time, the police are also searching for the girl's head, which she has not been able to find yet.
The police are also scanning CCTV footage of the area. Talking to the media, Meerut DSP First Arvind Chaurasia has said that the police are making every effort to identify the deceased and the matter will be revealed soon. Police suspect that an attempt was probably made to throw the body into the cemetery, but it collided with the boundary and remained outside.
