"Every person returned from Tablighi Jamaat will have corona test" DGP issues orders

Lucknow: Orders have been issued to search for the people who returned from the Markaz of Tablighi Jamaat, located in Nizamuddin, Delhi, Uttar Pradesh. The DGP has ordered top officers in 18 districts including Ghaziabad, Meerut, Saharanpur, Muzaffarnagar, Shamli, Hapur, Baghpat, Bijnor, to search for these people. It is noteworthy that about 6 people who participated in this program have died due to COVID 19 infection, while many people have been found infected.

Apart from UP, the search for the people who have come to Nizamuddin in Telangana and Tamil Nadu has started. In Telangana, 194 people were quarantined, while in Tamil Nadu 981 people were identified and are being investigated. Around 1400 people were staying in the Markaz of Tablighi Jamaat located in Nizamuddin, Delhi, which also included foreigners. There, the Telangana government said that 6 people who had joined the Jamaat died due to corona.

Maulana Yusuf has clarified on behalf of Markaz that even before the lockdown was implemented, the native foreign guests were staying there. Therefore, they followed the government's order that whatever is there, stay there. In view of the seriousness of the case, the police which is investigating is taking all precautions including masks, globs. The entire area is being monitored by drone.
