There is a ruckus in Delhi over the citizenship law. The Yogi government of Uttar Pradesh has also become alert due to the violence erupted in Delhi against this law. Earlier, people are being closely monitored along with the people named as well as their other colleagues in the violent demonstrations and sabotage in the state. Adequate arrangements are being made to not provoke violence in UP. Districts bordering Delhi state along with sensitive cities have been taken under special surveillance. Senior officers have been sent from the headquarters, who are handling the security arrangements. As a precaution, police, and PACs have been deployed in all these districts.

Uttar Pradesh is already sensitive about CAA. There has been violence in many districts including Lucknow, Firozabad, Baghpat, Meerut, and Aligarh. Demonstrations against CAA are still going on in many districts. Meanwhile, a riot broke out in Delhi on this issue. Apart from Noida, Ghaziabad, Baghpat, and Bulandshahar, bordering the Delhi border, the UP government has already made preparations for sensitive Aligarh, Muzaffarnagar, and Sambhal.

Regarding the matter, Director General of Police Hiteshchandra Awasthi said that there is peace in all the districts of Uttar Pradesh, yet strict security arrangements have been made in the districts along the Delhi border. Senior officers have been dispatched from the headquarters, who will take command of the security system. PAC has been sent as an additional force. Earlier, violence against CAA was controlled in time and during the sensitive decision on Ayodhya, it was successful in maintaining peace here. The zone and sector scheme implemented in the state has been reinstated.
