Lucknow: Both the police and family were confused in recognition of the body found on 5 August in Colonelganj, Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh. The one who claimed to be buried returned alive on Friday. When the family and the police saw him, the ground slipped under his feet. The police is now interrogating him. SP West Dr. Anil Kumar admitted that the person whose body was believed to be Ahmed, has returned home alive. He is under interrogation.
Ahmed Hassan, 39, originally from Chamanganj, lives with his second house wife Nagma and two children near Azad Park in Ompurwa in Chakeri. According to his brother-in-law Zaid, he works in AC repairing. On 2 August, quarreled and left home. On the second day, a report of his disappearance was lodged at Chakeri police station. On August 5, an unclaimed dead body was found near the orphanage. Family members arrived and identified him as Ahmed. After the post mortem, the body was buried in the cemetery. On Friday night, Ahmed himself came home and everyone was surprised.
Family members reached Chakeri police station with him. Ahmed gave complete information about himself to the police. SP West Dr Anil Kumar says that Ahmed has returned home. He is being interrogated. An attempt will be made to get back the body found in Colonelganj. It is not known whose body was found near the orphanage. The buried bodies will be removed and sampled for DNA testing. In the future, if someone makes a claim, it will be confirmed by matching DNA.
