UP: Former MP Bhalchand passes away, funeral to be held today

Gurgaon: Congress leader Bhalchandra Yadava, a former MP of Uttar Pradesh, passed away in Gurgaon's Medanta Hospital today. He was 63 years old. The former BSP MP breathed his last at two in the afternoon at Medanta Hospital in Gurgaon. He was suffering from jaundice. Bhalchand has twice been an MP from SP in 1999 and BSP in 2004. As soon as the news of his death was received, there was mourning in the district. The funeral will be held on Saturday at Bidhar Ghat in Saryu. Born in 1956 at the home of farmer Ramsahay, Bhalchand was the second of four brothers.

He is survived by wife Phula Devi, sons Pramod Yadav, Subodh Yadav and married daughter Vibha Yadav. Bhalchand, who has contested seven times the MP, contested the 2019 election on a Congress ticket. His close friends Santram Yadav of Vishwanathpur, Brahm Shankar Bharti of Tameshwarnath, Brij Bhushan Pandey, SP District President Gauhar Ali, former District Vice President KD Yadav, SP senior leader Komal Yadav, Rajman Yadav, former MLA Algu Prasad Chauhan, former MLA Abdul Kalam, former MP Bhalchand paid tribute to him. Let us tell you that SP and BSP fought the last Lok Sabha elections together in UP. But the alliance broke down due to lack of expected results.
