Kanpur: A train derailed at Kanpur Central Station in Uttar Pradesh on Wednesday morning. Meanwhile, four coaches of Kanpur-Lucknow Memu derailed on platform No.3 and the train also broke the boundary of Kanpur station. No casualty has been reported in the incident. Top railway officials are on the spot and efforts are on to bring the train back on track.

Railway officials who rushed to the spot after the incident said that Kanpur-Lucknow Memu was coming from Lucknow to Kanpur this morning and four coaches of the train derailed while changing the track at Kanpur station. Several pillars of the station's boundary were also damaged in the accident and a stir was also reported. A huge panic was witnessed among the passengers during the period.

According to railway officials, the train was carrying passengers coming from Lucknow to Kanpur. The slow speed of the train was averted by a major accident. The train derailment has also affected the operation of other trains. The priority at present is to bring Kanpur-Lucknow Memu back on track. The team of the technical staff of the Railways is reportedly present at the station.
