8-year-old steals Rs 35,000 from dad’s account for online game

Lucknow: A very shocking case has emerged from the capital of Uttar Pradesh, Lucknow. Here, an eight-year-old child siphoned off 35 thousand rupees from the father's account in the course of the game. On receiving information about the release of money, the victim complained to the cybercrime cell, after which the whole matter came to light. The student had made Paytm account in his father's phone in December 2018.

He used to play online games free fire. For this, he had to make many payments in the game. He was transferring money by linking Paytm to his father's account. The victim has an account with Jan Dhan Yojana, Oriental Bank and Punjab National Bank, to which his mobile number is linked. The student had transferred 23 thousand five hundred, 10 thousand five hundred and one hundred 14 rupees through Paytm from all three accounts. When the cybercrime cell questioned the eight-year-old child of the victim, he told that he had opened the Paytm wallet to play online games. He also transferred money. He said that about 35 thousand rupees were withdrawn from father's account to play the game.

As the incident came to light, the student realized his mistake. CO, Hazratganj and cybercrime counselled his father and asked him to behave normally with their son at home.
