Lucknow: A man has beaten on duty a traffic cop over  a dispute over helmets in Meerut district of UP. The angry passer-by also started beating the traffic cop with a slippers. There was a lot of debate between the two during the entire course of the case. However, the two were later reconciled at the police station.

The Jamnanagar-Hapur road under Meerut's Kharkhoda police station was jammed on Saturday. Traffic constable Bablu Kumar was on duty at the time. He is said to have had a dispute with Usman Ali about the helmet at around 5 p.m. The story between the two was so high that traffic cop Bablu Kumar slammed Usman.

Afterwards, the angry Usman pulled out his slippers and started beating the traffic cop with several chaps. In the meantime, one man somehow defended the middle and entered into an agreement between the two. Later, the two men submitted a letter of prayer at Kharkhoda police station saying that they have reconciled. Then the matter calmed down, and Osman went to his home.
