Lucknow: In a shocking case, a 14-year-old minor girl was killed by a crazy lover for rejecting his marriage proposal in Uttar Pradesh's Muzaffarnagar. The incident took place in Hajipur village under the Bhopa police station area of the district. Police have arrested a man named Sonu Banjara on charges of murder.

According to media reports, a 14-year-old girl named Priyanshi went missing from her house on Saturday (November 5). The family searched for her a lot, but they could not find anything anywhere. The next day on Sunday, Priyanshi's body was found lying near a sugarcane field in the village itself. The girl's father alleged that Sonu was pressuring his daughter to marry, but the girl refused to marry him. After this, Sonu was constantly threatening the girl's family with consequences.

SSP Vineet Jaiswal has informed that the accused has killed the girl by strangulating her. On the complaint of the deceased's family, a case of murder has been registered and the accused has been arrested. At present, his interrogation is going on. At the same time, the body of the deceased has been taken into custody and sent for post-mortem, the report of which is awaited.
