Nainital: The search of history-sheeter Vikas Dubey, who escaped after the brutal killing of 8 policemen, has now reached the Uttarakhand border from UP. Over 100 STF teams in the state are doing one day-to-day search for him. Police also suspect that Vikas Dubey may also try to flee Uttarakhand. An alert has been issued in the districts bordering Uttarakhand.

SSP Sunil Kumar Meena of Nainital has told that all the police teams of the Nainital district have been asked to remain vigilant in connection with the notorious criminal Vikas Dubey. Instructions have been given for intensive checking in the border areas. If in any case, Vikas will try to enter Dubey district, then the police is ready to arrest him with promptness. For the last 4 days, 100 teams of UP Police have been looking for Vikas. After which it is believed that Vikas may have run towards Uttarakhand or Nepal can use Uttarakhand to go towards the border.

Along with Uttarakhand, an alert has been issued on the borders of Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan adjacent to UP. There was also apprehension that Vikas might take the rugged path of the border districts of Madhya Pradesh to run away. In view of this, police was also alerted in districts adjacent to Chambal like Bhind-Morena.
