Rampur: Senior Samajwadi Party (SP) leader Azam Khan's troubles are increasing. Yogi government of UP has also handed over the investigation of the case relating to 13.842 hectares of enemy property at Johar University to the SIT. On the recommendation of the district administration, the government has entrusted the SIT with the responsibility of investigation. Azam Khan is alleged to have inherited the property of a family who had gone to Pakistan to visit the university.
While Azam Khan is involved in a land dispute, he seems to be in trouble with objectionable statements. Police filed charge sheet against him in 13 cases in his own constituency, Rampur. A total of 15 cases were registered against Azam Khan during the Lok Sabha elections.
For information, cases were registered against MP Azam Khan from Rampur Lok Sabha seat for violating the model code of conduct and making objectionable speeches. Out of these cases, there are two cases in which the police had already prepared the chargesheet. In 13 cases, the police have completed deliberation and filed a charge sheet against Azam Khan.
