There were two major decisions taken by the Indian Parliament in the year 2019 - the removal of Article 370 (Article 370) from Jammu and Kashmir and the implementation of the amended Citizenship Act (CAA). If we talk about the same, then special certificate course is being started in Uttar Pradesh to make people aware on both these matters. This certificate course has been started by Uttar Pradesh Rajarshi Tandon Open University (UPRTOU - Uttar Pradesh Rajarshi Tandon Open University). Along with this the name of this course is - Awareness Program on Jammu Kashmir (APJK) and Awareness Program in Citizenship Amendment Act 2019 (APCAA).
How many days course, how much will be charged
According to information given by Public Relations Officer (PRO) Prabhat Mishra of UPRTOU, 'The new syllabus has been implemented from 10 January. For this the admission process has also been started. This certificate program will be of three months duration. Candidates will have to pay a fee of Rs 700 for this three-month course. However, there is no limit on the number of candidates admitted to the course. According to TOI report, the Vice Chancellor of the University Prof. Kameshwar Nath Singh said that many misconceptions have been spread about Article 370 and CAA. These need to be removed as soon as possible. It is the moral duty of a university to make people aware and remove the mist of misunderstandings.
Who can take admission
To enroll in this certificate course, candidates must have passed 12th (Inter). Candidates can also complete this certificate course by doing graduation or any other course. The syllabus of CAA is divided into five parts. Whereas the syllabus of Jammu and Kashmir awareness program has been divided into six parts of Article 370 and Article 35A.
