The Uttarakhand government has taken the help of Delhi Metro to implement this plan. The government's move to improve the transport system through ropeway is considered to be very important after all the hopes of operating the metro in Dehradun are over.

On Monday, the Delhi Metro was given the task of making DPR for the construction of ropeway in Dehradun. Under the agreement between Delhi Metro and top officials of the Uttarakhand government, DPR will be ready within the next 4 to 6 months. After this, the transport system will be started through ropeway in about 2 years. Officials of Delhi Metro and Uttarakhand Metro signed an MoU regarding this.

After the signing of the agreement, Uttarakhand Urban Development Minister Madan Kaushik said that the number of tourists in Dehradun is increasing continuously. The pressure of the population is also increasing continuously in this beautiful city. The government has taken this important step to better the public transport system. Madan Kaushik said that the completion of this project will take 2 to 2.5 years. This project will be completed at a much lower cost than the metro. According to Kaushik, the project will cost 2 thousand crores rupees.
