Dehradun: Police arrested the accused husband in connection with the murder of a woman in Pithoragarh in Uttarakhand a day earlier. Police said that the accused had brought his wife, who had been living in the parental home for three months, with him on Wednesday. After a mutual dispute, he punched his wife in the stomach. After his wife's death, he set her on fire to uncover the body.

SP Lokeshwar Singh said that the decomposed body of a woman was recovered near Chaiser village near the district headquarters on Thursday. A post-mortem was conducted after conducting a panchnama of the body. The woman was identified as 22-year-old Anandi Devi's wife Kishan Kumar, a resident of Chheda. He said that in the case, in the complaint of the deceased's mother Sunita Devi resident Malla Riansi Vadda, her husband was charged with murder. Police said that the accused had forcibly brought his wife with him on the day of the murder.

He works as a welder in Vin village. The young man punched his wife in the stomach after a mutual dispute. The accused said that after the death of his wife during this time, he set the body on fire with the intention of disposing of the body. The Superintendent of Police said that a case has been registered under sections 302, and 304B. The accused has been arrested and sent to jail.
