Badrinath: Clouds burst late in the night near Sirobgarh on Rishikesh-Badrinath National Highway in Uttarakhand have been reported. According to the information received, the cloudburst has caused havoc here. In fact, it is being reported that a tanker full of diesel has fallen into the Alaknanda river due to a change in the explosion, while vehicles parked on the roadside have been hit by debris. As soon as the SDRF team and police came to know about the incident, both of them reached the spot and took stock of the situation. At the same time, both the teams are said to be engaged in rescue operations.

As per the information received, traffic in Sirobgarh has resumed due to cloudburst by evening and now the administration is sending small vehicles by Srinagar-Kirtinagar-Badiyargarh-Taliwara motorway. According to reports, Sirobgarh received heavy rain around 12 pm to 1 pm last Thursday. Meanwhile, a cloudburst on the upper side of Sirobgarh caused heavy debris to accumulate on Badrinath Highway. Meanwhile, a diesel tanker parked on the national highway was hit by the debris in which another person including the driver was reported missing.

At the same time, a cement truck parked on the highway is also hanging between the road and the debris of water and two cars have also been buried in the debris. The major accident can be gauged from the fact that the impact is full of cloudburst debris in an area about a kilometer away from the highway. Due to which traffic on the highway has been completely disrupted.
