After the rain and snowfall in the state for the last 2 days, there was some relief from the harsh winter due to the blossoming sun today. However, light rain is expected again in the late evening. Rain and snowfall occurred in most parts of the state for the last two days. Cold has increased again in more areas. On the other hand, due to prolonged period of rain and cold, people's problems are increasing.
According to the Meteorological Department, on Sunday i.e. today, March 8, 2020, some hilly areas of the state are expected to be cloudy. People in the mountain have got some relief from the harsh cold due to the rain and snowfall. Weather Center Director Bikram Singh said that in Dehradun and the surrounding areas, there are cloudy places in many places. During the day there can be sunshine, due to which the temperature will also increase. At the same time, light rain may occur in the evening. This can reduce temperature at night.
Yamunotri and Gangotri Highway blocked with snow: For your information, let us tell you that the rain snowfall has once again stopped the wheels of vehicles on the high roads. Due to the incessant snowfall in the last two days, traffic was blocked on half a dozen roads including Yamunotri and Gangotri Highways in the district. It is also being said that due to which the people of the area had to face a lot of problems. The concerned departments are trying to restore traffic, but due to the continuation of snowfall, there are problems in it. Due to heavy snowfall, traffic was blocked ahead of Sukki Top on Gangotri Highway late on Friday night. While the snow accumulated on the road ahead of Hanumanchatti, the movement of vehicles on the Yamunotri highway also came to a standstill.
