This year, the monsoon may lag a week in reaching Uttarakhand. The Central Meteorological Department has predicted a five-day delay in reaching Kerala a day before the monsoon. In such a situation, it is estimated that the monsoon may reach Uttarakhand around 27 June. Normally the monsoon reaches India via Kerala on 1 June. According to the Meteorological Department, the monsoon is expected to hit the country around June 5 this year. The monsoon takes 21 days to reach Kerala from Uttarakhand if the system remains normal. In such a situation, the system of reaching Kerala on June 5 will be lagging behind in Uttarakhand for five days. Apart from this, the pace of monsoon slows down as soon as the system weakens in the country. According to meteorologists, overall monsoon is expected to reach Uttarakhand by a delay of six to seven days. However, the monsoon is expected to be normal this year in most areas of the country including Uttarakhand.

From May 21, heat is expected to rise
After May 21, heat is expected to rise in the state. According to Bikram Singh, director of the Meteorological Center, maximum and minimum temperatures are still around normal. The weather is expected to be normal in most places for the next few days. This will increase the maximum and minimum temperatures. After May 21, maximum and minimum temperatures can be three to four degrees above normal. This will increase the heat of day as well as night.

Saturday was the hottest day of 2020
Saturday 2020 was the hottest day in the capital, Doon and surrounding areas. The maximum temperature in the capital, Doon, crossed 36 degrees. So far this year, only twice the temperature has been above 35 degrees. In the next few days, the temperature may increase further in most areas of the state including the capital. In Uttarakhand, due to heavy rains during the past weeks, the temperature remained near normal. The temperature was very low in April. Temperatures were also low in the first fortnight of May but there has been a significant jump in the last two days. For the first time on Friday, the maximum temperature had crossed 35 degrees. On Saturday, it reached above 36 degrees. According to the weather center, it was the hottest day of the year 2020 so far. Due to strong sunlight during the day, people had to struggle with heat and humidity. In the afternoon, people were more troubled by the hot winds.
