Heavy rainfall creates flood like situation in Dehradun

Dehradun: Right now the rainy season is going on in the country. Meanwhile, Uttarakhand's capital Dehradun received such a huge rain since Sunday night that flood-like situation has arisen. Here the debris collapsed, then got swept away in the drain. Water entered the houses. The water level of the river Rispna also increased in a large amount .

The weather Department has expressed the possibility of medium rain in Almora, Udham Singh Nagar, Rudraprayag, Uttarkashi and Chamoli. Rainfall may occur in most areas of Dehradun, Pithoragarh, Bageshwar, Nainital, Champawat, Pauri, Haridwar and Tehri. The rain continued intermittently till Monday morning. Due to which waterlogging occurred in many areas of the district. Water fully filled in Mitralok Colony, Kaulagarh, Ambedkar Marg, Village Rajwadi located on Ballupur Road, Dehradun.

There is anger among people due to water filling in Mitralok Colony. Rain water filled in people's houses in Ward 31 of Kaulagarh. There is not a single concrete drain for the drainage of water on the Ambedkar road. Due to which water entered the houses. Some of the houses were burnt  breaking the wall of the vacant plot behind. Rain water entered houses in village Rajwadi as well. Debris collapsed in the Sangam Vihar GMS road due to the highest rainfall. In which many vehicles were buried. Rain water filled in the Gondid Garh Teachers Colony. Santla Devi road has been blocked by debris. Due to this, people had to face many problems.
