Dehradun received light rain late on Friday. Somewhere it continued till morning. In the afternoon, it started raining in Dehradun. It also rained in Rishikesh. In Yamunotri valley of Uttarkashi, it rained heavily. Earlier this morning, Uttarkashi district was cloudy. There is a possibility of rain here. Gangotri and Yamunotri highway are smooth. Yamunotri Valley, New Tehri, Rudraprayag received rain overnight. There is still a possibility of rain here. Srinagar and surrounding areas received rains this morning as well.

Pithoragarh, Bageshwar, Nainital and Almora received rains. There was also hail storm in Nainital this morning. It's cloudy in Haldwani since morning. Pithoragarh-Ghat National Highway has been closed due to heavy debris near the Delhi Band. Trucks carrying milk, vegetables and ration from the plains are stuck in the ghat itself. JCB and Pokeland have been installed to remove debris and hailstorm and lightning are expected to occur in some hilly areas of the state today. In some plains, a strong thunderstorm may also occur. According to the weather centre, in most of the hilly areas of the state, hail may fall at some places during the next 24 hours.

Apart from this, lightning is also expected in many areas. On the other hand, there is also a warning of strong thunderstorms in many plains at a speed of 50 to 60 km per hour. According to the weather centre director Bikram Singh, the weather may remain like this in the state today. Most of the surrounding areas, including the capital city of Doon, can also be cloudy.
