Dehradun: Due to the public meeting of former Chief Minister Harish Rawat in Kashipur, Uttarakhand, a person resident of Pratappur reached the stage with a knife-carrying a saffron scarf. He also raised slogans of Jayshree Ram. Youth Congress workers caught him and handed him over to the police. However, former Chief Minister Harish Rawat was not present at the time of taking out the knife on the stage. It is said that the person was around the stage since the beginning of the public meeting.

A man from Pratappur had been approaching the police with his application for the past few days. He says that 8 persons have not paid his wages. In the past, he has tried to set himself on fire by climbing the tower. He reached former chief minister Harish Rawat's public meeting on Thursday. As a result, he climbed onto the stage and raised slogans and pulled out a knife from his pocket. However, the former Chief Minister Rawat was not on the stage then. Yuk city president Prabhat Sahni etc. controlled him and handed him over to the police. During the search, a knife was seized from him. Police say that the man is intoxicated.

Harish Rawat addressed a public meeting after the same issue. He said Kashipur will be declared a district within a year of the formation of the Congress government in the state. He said the wind is blowing in favour of the Congress in Uttarakhand. In Kashipur also, the Congress has a great opportunity to end the drought.
