Srinagar: Muslims are being given Sahri and Iftari in this holy month of Ramadan, isolated by the Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board. Sahri and Iftari are being provided to 500 Muslims living in Ashirwad Bhawan of Katra. On giving information, Shrine Board CEO Ramesh Kumar said that a large number of migrants from other states have been brought back to Jammu and Kashmir during the holy month of Ramadan.

He said that these migrant workers are reaching Jammu and Udhampur by train. They have been quarantined at the Ashirwad Bhawan in Katra which has a capacity to hold 500 people. There are many among those who are isolated. The employees wake up overnight and manage their support and iftari. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are being provided to the remaining people. He informed that Ashirwad Bhavan was converted into a segregation camp in March itself.

The visit of Mata Vaishno Devi was postponed on 18 March in view of the increasing infection of Corona. There are several Shrine Board buildings in Katra, where devotees stay. Due to all the arrangements here, those buildings have been converted into quarantine centers.
