Bollywood actor Varun Dhawan and his father and also filmmaker David Dhawan attended a panel discussion session at the Internation film festival of India (IFFI) in Goa. During the session, the father-son duo discussed a lot about  career journey as well as about his thoughts and the same surprised the audiences. Student Of The Year Actor  revealed that how he went for the auditions of Kiran Rao’s 2011 film Dhobi Ghat and how he got rejected.

Recalling the incidence , father David Dhawan said that " I told him, are you mad that you are going to do a Dhobi Ghat? You can’t begin your career with such films,

Varun Dhawan revealed that he always wanted to be the joker in the pack. He said that  he I was obsessed by Jim Carrey, Robin Williams, Govinda and Mehmood . He said that , all these artists were good at improvisation. These people were so relatable as you found them around you. There’s always a joker in the pack. I wanted to be that person.

For the unversed, Varun's critically acclaimed movie October was chosen to be showcased at the Panaroma section of the festival.  On the work front, Varun recently wrapped up the shoot of Kalank.
