The Seven-time Grand Slam champion Venus Williams in a clash of the US Open today defeated Frenchwoman Oceane Dodin to reach out to the third round of the tournament.
She beat her opponent by 7-5, 6-4 in a match that lasted for one hour and 28 minutes at the Arthur Ashe Stadium.
In the third round, she will have to defeat Greek star Maria Sakkari so that she can book her place in in the fourth round.
