Bangalore: Senior Congress leader and former Union Minister MV Rajasekharan died on Monday in a hospital in Bangalore. He was 91 years old. Family of Rajasekharan have given information about this. Congress leader Rajasekharan was struggling with old age-related diseases. He has 2 sons and 2 daughters.
Rajasekharan, an agricultural expert and advisor for rural development affairs, was born on 12 September 1928 in Maralawadi in Ramnagar district. CM of Karnataka and BJP leader B.C. s. Yeddyurappa said that Rajasekharan, who served as a Legislative Councilor, MP and Union Minister, was a leader of simplicity and humility and was very mature.
Yeddyurappa said, "Mr Rajasekharan, son-in-law of former CM S. Nijalingappa, had a good grasp on the rural economy and had set up an institute for studies on rural development." Yeddyurappa further said, "He represented the Kanakapura parliamentary constituency in the Lok Sabha. He was known for his values-based politics and also served as the Union Minister for State Planning and Statistics."
