Shimla: A landslide has taken place near a jury on NATIONAL HIGHWAY-5 in Kinnaur district of Himachal Pradesh. A video of the same has also surfaced showing some vehicles being damaged. However, no casualty has been reported. Traffic has been affected since the landslide. The machinery of the Highway Authority is engaged in restoring the road.

Let us tell you that landslides are continuously taking place in Kinnaur district. Earlier, several people have been killed in landslides in Batseri and Nigulsari. Earlier, a major accident occurred when a mountain collapsed near Nigulsari on NH-5. In which more than twenty people lost their lives. A search operation was conducted for several days to recover the bodies of the people.

On the other hand, the mountain has broken on the Chandrabhaga river in Pattan valley of tribal district Lahaul Spiti. Several tonnes of debris and rocks had fallen into the river due to heavy landslides. This had stopped the flow of water for two hours and raised the water level by 20 times. Amidst the chaos, people from Tadang, Jasrath, Nalda and Junda villages along the river had fled to safer places to save their lives.
