In the 5th and final match of the series played between New Zealand-India, Sanju Samson surprised everyone by stopping a great catch. Samson not only caught the ball going out of the boundary, but also quickly threw it back into the ground and saved four runs for the team. The video of Samson's stormy fielding is going viral on social media.
According to reports, Shardul Thakur was bowling. Ross Taylor played a brilliant shot on the last ball of the eighth over. The ball was going over the midwicket boundary when Sanju Samson came running and jumped in the air and caught the ball. Before he went to the boundary line, he threw the ball inside the ground. Meanwhile, Taylor ran and took two runs. Had the ball gone outside the boundary, New Zealand would have got six runs. Earlier, the Indian team scored 163 runs for three wickets in the scheduled 20 overs. Samson failed to open once again. He was dismissed after scoring just two runs.

India also defeated New Zealand in the fifth and final T20 match of the series. Team India created history by doing a clean sweep of the series 5–0 with it. The Indian team became the first team to do a clean sweep in a five-match bilateral T20 series. In the absence of Virat and Rohit, Team India, playing under the captaincy of Rahul, has shown a strong game in an exciting match.
