VIJAYAPURA (Karnataka): Former chief minister B S Yediyurappa has stated that BJP state vice president BY Vijayendra will contest in the 2023 Assembly elections and will definitely win.

In response to remarks by Leader of the Opposition in the Legislative Assembly Siddaramaiah that Yediyurappa failed to get his son a BJP ticket for the ongoing legislative council elections, the BJP veteran said it is well known that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has decided not to issue tickets to a single-family when other members of the family are active in politics.

Shikaripura MLA responded to another question about Siddaramaiah's statement about excluding Yediyurappa and his family from the saffron party, saying, "He does not require a certificate from Siddaramaiah. No other BJP leader has ever held the roles he has. He held the position of CM four times. Despite his retirement from the role of chief minister, he continues to be treated with the same respect that he had as CM ".

The former Chief Minister, speaking to reporters, said, "The party will put in every effort to reclaim power in the state by winning 140 seats in the next assembly elections. Siddaramaiah is convinced that the Congress would win the election ".

Yediyurappa stated that he intends to remain active in politics for the next ten years. He stated that if his health is allowed, he will tour the state to build the party and that the next assembly elections will be conducted under collaborative leadership.
