New Delhi: Team India captain Virat Kohli has become the only cricketer to be included in the list of top 100 highest earning athletes of 2020 by Forbes magazine. Right-handed batsman Virat is also the only Indian athlete to feature in this list. According to Forbes, Kohli's total earnings are 26 million (Rs 196 crore). Kohli gets 24 million from advertising and 2 million as salary.

Kohli has jumped more than 30 places in this list since 2019, as he is at number 66 in this year's list. Let me tell you that this is the second consecutive year for Kohli when he has been included in the list of Forbes Top 100 Highest Earning Athletes. Earlier, he was at the 100th position, i.e. in the year 2019, his earnings were 25 million dollars. At the same time, Switzerland's number one tennis player Roger Federer has got the first place, leaving behind everyone in terms of earning this year. He has become the first tennis player in the world to do so. His last year's earnings have been reported to be around $ 106 million.

Only the footballers in this list are consistently on top. Many stars of the football world are included in the list of highest earning players. Cristiano Ronaldo of Portugal is in second place with a gross of $ 105 million. The third place is from Argentine footballer Leonel Messi, who earned $ 104 million this year and is followed by Brazilian striker Neymar, who grossed $ 95.5 million. At number five is basketball star LeBron James, who has earned 88.2 million.
