Raipur, Chhattisgarh: In anticipation of the impending swearing-in ceremony, the Chief Minister-designate of Chhattisgarh, Vishnu Deo Sai, made a reverent visit to the revered Jagannath Temple in Raipur on Wednesday.

Accompanied by his council of ministers, the Chief Minister-designate is set to take the oath of office today in Raipur, marking a significant juncture in the state's political landscape.

At the sacred precincts of the Jagannath Temple, Vishnu Deo Sai conducted an elaborate ritualistic worship, venerating Lord Jagannath, Mata Subhadra, and Balaram Ji. Notably, Purandar Mishra, a Member of the Legislative Assembly from North Raipur, also graced the occasion.

Expressing his reverence, Vishnu Deo Sai conveyed to ANI, "Today, I will assume the responsibilities of the Chief Minister of Chhattisgarh. I sought blessings by offering prayers at the Jagannath temple."

Amid ongoing deliberations, it is anticipated that Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, BJP National President JP Nadda, and other eminent leaders of the party will partake in the swearing-in ceremony, confirmed a BJP official.

"In the forthcoming swearing-in event of the Chief Minister, discussions suggest the presence of PM Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah, party president JP Nadda, several union ministers, multiple BJP state presidents, and various BJP state chief ministers," remarked BJP leader Vijay Kumar Sharma.

Simultaneously, Vishnu Deo Sai extended invitations via a telephonic conversation to former Chhattisgarh CM Bhupesh Baghel, former Deputy CM TS Singh Deo, and Pradesh Congress Committee President Deepak Baij to grace the swearing-in ceremony. The event is scheduled to be held at the Science College grounds in Raipur.
