Bangkok: A Thailand court has issued an order suspending the broadcast of online voice television criticizing the government. Voice TV has been accused of violating emergency measures that cease protests from 3 months on. Digital Department spokesman Putchapong Nodthaisong said that Voice TV has also broken the computer crime law by uploading false information.

The government is engaged in ending the protests against PM Prayut Chan-Ocha and the monarchy. Voice TV editor-in-chief Rittkorn Mahakachabhorn said that they are about to release the broadcast till the court order is given. Thailand said on Monday that three other media institutions are also under action.

On the other hand, the Thailand Cabinet in its weekly meeting on Tuesday has approved the request to call a special session of Parliament to deal with the political pressure arising out of anti-government protests. The non-voting session is scheduled to be held on 26-27 October. Speaker Chuan Liqpai on Monday urged for a special session, saying the government and opposition parties have supported it.
