Mathura: The festival of Janmashtami was celebrated with pomp yesterday i.e. on August 19. Now amidst all this, a piece of bad news came out from the Uttar Pradesh Mathura district. In fact, two people died after being crushed in a crowd that had gathered for darshan at the famous Banke Bihari temple located in Vrindavan late at night. Eyewitnesses say that the crowd was so large that more than 50 people fell unconscious during Mangala Aarti. On the other hand, SSP Abhishek Yadav says that the accident happened due to the increase in the crowd. Yes, they have identified the deceased as Nirmala Devi, a resident of Noida, and Rajkumar, a resident of Vrindavan, of Jabalpur origin.

The servitors of the temple claim that the authorities showed their status in the name of VIPs and gave special facilities to the family members. At the same time, according to eyewitnesses, a senior police officer had brought his mother. A senior police officer of Mathura refinery was present at Mangala aarti along with 7 family members. Let us tell you that the leader of the Hindu Mahasabha wrote a letter in blood to CM Yogi, demanding to worship in Mathura's Shahi Masjid Idgah on Janmashtami, according to the servitors, the family members of the officials were visiting from the balcony built on the roof. With this, the authorities closed the gates of the upper floor for the safety of their family.

This made it difficult to save people. At the same time, people say that DM, SSP, SP, and district judiciary officials were busy in VIP darshan along with family. Even before the Mangala aarti began at 2 am, the pressure of the crowd started increasing and people started fainting. The police administration first evacuated the families safely. Mathura SSP, on the other hand, says, "A devotee fainted at the exit gate of the temple during Mangala Aarti in Banke Bihari, restricting the movement of devotees. The crowd was high, so due to the suffocation inside the campus, many people suffocated and two people lost their lives.''
