One of the most loved actors in South Industry Puneeth 's dream project 'Gandhada Gudi ' is fast moving towards completion and the makers released the trailer on Sunday. The docu-drama is set to release on October 28 but due to the actor’s unfortunate death he is not here to celebrate it and share it with his fans.

Puneeth’s wife Ashwini has unveiled the trailer of his last film GG Gandhada Gudi and said that it was very close to his heart. Sharing the trailer of the Kannada film, Ashwini wrote on Twitter, “Namaste @narendramodi. Today is an emotional day for us as we are releasing the trailer of #GandhadaGudi, a project close to Appu's heart. Appu always cherished the interactions with you and would have loved to share with you in person.”

She further added, “Appu is not in our midst, but his life and work motivates and gives us the strength to embrace the culture of ‘Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam’. #GGMovie celebrates cinema and also holds a mirror to the rich heritage, culture, nature, and diversity of our land.”

Prime Minister Narendra Modi responded to her tweet, “Appu lives in the hearts of millions around the world. He was brilliance personified, full of energy and blessed with unparalleled talent. #GandhadaGudi is a tribute to Mother Nature, Karnataka's natural beauty and environmental conservation. My best wishes for this endeavour.”

Puneeth Rajkumar enjoyed a massive fan following and was famous for his realistic and different acting. He was, youngest of five children of Kannada matinee idol Dr Rajkumar, died of a cardiac arrest on October 29 last year at the age of 46. He will be conferred with the Karnataka Ratna award posthumously on November 1.
