One of the most loved actresses in the south Samantha Prabhu Ruth is all set for her never seen avatar.  The actress is will be next seen in a mythological film Shaakuntalam is one of the most anticipated in Tollywood. After a long wait, the makers finally announced the release date of the film.

Samantha Ruth Prabhu's mythological love saga Shaakuntalam have announced its release date of the film. This much-awaited project will be out in cinema halls on 4 November this year. Sharing the news, the makers Tweeted, "Witness the #EpicLoveStory #Shaakuntalam in Theatres from Nov 4th 2022 Worldwide!."

The director of the film Gunasekhar took to Twitter and shared share that the promotions for this love saga will commence shortly. The film is based on a popular Indian play Shakuntala by Kalidasa and will see actor Dev Mohan as Dushyanta, the king of Puru Dynasty. Shaakuntalam based on internationally acclaimed Kalidasa’s Sanskrit play ‘Abhijnana Shakuntalam’ is all set to release in Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam and Kannada.

The film is carrying good hype among the audience with the first-look posters and soon the makers will start grand promotions. Neelima Guna is turning producer with this ambitious poetic romance drama. This prestigious project has its music composed by Mani Sharma. The ensemble star cast includes Mohan Babu, Prakash Raj, Madhu Bala, Gautami and many other notable actors. The filming for Shaakuntalam was wrapped up in August 2021. Allu Arjun's daughter, Allu Arha will also be making her Tollywood debut as prince Bharata in Shaakuntalam.
