Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor welcomed their first child on 6 th of May. The couple has now become parents of a baby girl. Alia and Ranbir, who tied the knot on April 14 this year, announced the pregnancy in June. Alia Bhatt took to social media to reveal the name of her daughter.
Alia Bhatt has finally revealed her baby’ name and it's adorable. She also shared a picture from the first time they holded their baby. The duo named their baby 'Raha' Alia shared a picture of her daughter wrote, "The name Raha (chosen by her wise and wonderful Dadi) has so many beautiful meanings…Raha, in its purest form means divine path, in Swahili she is Joy, In Sanskrit, Raha is a clan, In Bangla - rest, comfort, relief, in Arabic peace, it also means happiness, freedom & bliss. And true to her name, from the first moment we held her - we felt it ALL! Thank you Raha, for bringing our family to life, it feels as though our lives have only just begun. "
As per the information, Raha's grandmother Neetu Kapoor has selected her name. Raha already has a football jersey since her father is a huge football fan. There's a legacy of names starting with 'R' in the Kapoor family from Raj Kapoor, Randheer Kapoor, Rishi Kapoor, Ranbir Kapoor and his sister Riddhima Kapoor Sahani.
Alia Bhatt married Ranbir Kapoor in April this year and announced her pregnancy through social media in June. Since the announcement was a sweet surprise for their fans, the couple became a talking point. Many speculated that the actress had already conceived before she got married and hence the hush hush ceremonies. On the work front, Alia and Ranbir were last seen in Brahmastra and the movie managed to do well at Box office.
