We want Rahul Gandhi to show some respect for his grandfather: Mohsin Raza

On Monday,  Uttar Pradesh minority affairs minister Mohsin Raza (January 21) supposed that Congress chief Rahul Gandhi does not visit his grandfather's [Feroze Gandhi] grave in Prayagraj because as he state earlier, he belonged to the minority community.

 

While commenting on this,  Mohsin Raza said, "Feroze Gandhi was a renowned journalist, politician and freedom fighter. His contribution to the country's independence was also very important but now nobody visits his grave. His grandson Rahul Gandhi has no time to visit here [Prayagraj]. Feroze Gandhi has been neglected for belonging to a minority community."

After paying floral tribute at Feroze Gandhi's tombstone in Prayagraj, Mohsin Raza said that, “The BJP government are not using this matter as a political issue. In fact, it's quite evident from the atmosphere here. Feroze Gandhi's grave is completely deserted. People don't even know where the veteran politician was buried. We want Rahul Gandhi to show some respect for his grandfather and visit his grave at least once," . While,Uttar Pradesh Congress spokesperson Zeeshan Haider rejected Mohsin Raza's claim and termed his statement as a mere publicity stunt.
