Lucknow: AIMIM chief and Hyderabad Lok Sabha MP Asaduddin Owaisi has attacked the BJP fiercely during the election campaign in Bareilly's Bithri Assembly. In an election rally in Bithri Chainpur on Thursday, Owaisi targeted the BJP over the ongoing controversy over hijab in schools in Karnataka, saying that the central government is giving the slogan of 'Beti Padhao' and girls are being stopped from wearing hijab. He also attacked Akhilesh Yadav and said that Akhilesh kept taking votes by intimidating Muslims in the name of BJP.

Owaisi had reached Byroad from Moradabad to hold a public meeting here. From the stage, he said that on the 14th day you go to the polling booth, our mothers and sisters, who wear hijab, should also go to vote wearing hijab. It is our fundamental right to wear hijab and burqa. No one will be bullied on this. Look at the hijabi girl students of Karnataka who are raising the slogan of Nara-e-Takbeer in front of the enemy, who believe in bullets and not ballots.

Owaisi further said that wearing hijab and burqa is our fundamental right. No one should object to what I wear, what I eat. He said that you should worry about your home, do not worry about us. My beard, my cap, my burqa, why do you care. While walking, he said that from Bareilly I am now going for By Road Sambhal. If there is a devil, come in my way.
