New Delhi: The Meteorological Department has predicted light rain in many parts of the country including Delhi-NCR on Friday. On Thursday, the maximum temperature in many states of North India was normal. North India can have an impact on the progress of the monsoon. This is the reason that the Meteorological Department has predicted rain on June 12 to 13 in Delhi-NCR and some areas of Punjab and Haryana with light to moderate rain or thunderstorm.

The southwest monsoon is moving fast forward. The Meteorological Department of India said that due to the effect of monsoon, there is a possibility of heavy rains on Friday in Goa, Karnataka, Telangana, Chhattisgarh, Odisha, Andhra Pradesh, Kerala, Maharashtra, Gujarat, West Bengal, Sikkim, Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur.

The maximum temperature in Delhi was recorded at 40.6 degrees Celsius on Thursday. The humidity level remained between 47 and 82 percent. The Meteorological Department has predicted splashes of light rain and thunderstorms with winds blowing at 60 km/h on Friday evening. The official said that there is a possibility of no heat the capital till June 15.
